THE WOODLANDS ANNOUNCES CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION

(EASTLAND, Texas) – The Woodlands is pleased to announce the completion and opening of the nursing home addition to the existing facility. The Woodlands added approximately 28,000 square feet with an additional 60 skilled nursing beds to complement the existing 48 assisted living units. The facility can now accommodate multiple levels of care that include assisted living, secured memory care, short term rehabilitation and long-term care. The addition includes a new therapy gym, dining room, private and semi-private resident units, new family gathering spaces, and professionally landscaped grounds.

An affiliate of Trinity Healthcare, LLC manages The Woodlands and oversaw the design and construction process. The architect was DFD Architects of Leander, Texas, who were also the original architect for The Woodlands.

As part of the expansion, the facility residents and staff moved from Eastland Nursing & Rehabilitation into the new facility. Ryan Harrington, President & CEO of Trinity Healthcare, stated, “We saw an opportunity to reach more people in the community by building a new facility that provide a continuum of care in one facility, while also providing a new home for our residents at Eastland Nursing & Rehabilitation.” Ryan added, “This new facility will not only allow us to continue providing exceptional care, but to a greater number of Eastland’s residents.”

The Woodlands plans to further improvements to the facility by updating the existing assisted living wing and converting the memory care wing to skilled nursing. This conversion will allow residents in the memory care wing to receive a higher level of care.
